YAMH
The Youth Alliance for Mental Health has worked with schools for left-behind children to help these children in China. In particular, we have initiated three programs in Bozhou No. 1 School in Anhui to approach the issue of poor mental health among left-behind children in different ways.

Healthy Young Minds is an annual project YAMH initiates and organizes, which consists of a series of webinars over zoom and focuses on teenagers (middle and high school students). Since the founding of YAMH in the fall of 2020, YAMH has carried out the project every year in the spring (2021, 2022) — Of course, we plan to hold it in 2023 as usual, so be on the look out!

YAMH has led yoga and mindfulness meditation sessions at nursing homes (Taikang Nursing Home) for elderly people. Some elders suffer from conditions that pervent them from practicing yoga on the mat, and they would practice yoga on the chair in the yoga classes.

YAMH took part in organizing and attending the National Mindfulness Meditation Academic Conference, hosted by Peking University's School of Psychological and Cognitive Sciences. YAMH recruited many youth to participate in this event, hoping to open their eyes to new ways of thinking and to new methods for boosting mental health.
